The little gal scooted up the tree at NJ Transit's Radburn train station on Pollitt Drive off Fair Lawn Avenue,, bringing borough police, firefighters, DPW workers and the Office of Emergency Management, as well as NJ Transit police and NJDEP Division of Fish & Wildlife personnel.
"The cub was captured unharmed, medically checked and tagged by NJDEP staff, then placed in a specially equipped truck for transport to a undisclosed location for release into the wild," Fair Lawn Police Sgt. Brian Metzler said.
Dozens of bystanders watched from the nearby shopping center parking lot and the eastbound train station platform.
Authorities kept an eye out for mama bear, just in case.
